Divine Liberation

We have been rescued from our enemies so we can serve God without fear, in holiness and righteousness for as long as we live.”  Luke 1:74-75

Divine liberation can be defined God’s act of setting someone free from imprisonment, slavery, oppression; from limits on thought or behaviour.

One of the stages of the liberation process of God’s children is “the desperate outcry for help from God” as the devil could subjugate that people are not even aware of their own oppression. So, identifying the oppression of the devil and the cry for mercy are crucial. In Exo 3:7 The LORD said, “I have indeed seen the misery of My people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their oppressors, and I am aware of their sufferings. The Divine freedom from every entanglement is to empower us to reference God in true worship. Psalm 119:134 “Redeem me from the oppression of man, that I may keep Your precepts.

Can we enquire through the scriptures if: Our freedom is to enslave us to a new master? Romans 6:20-22.

Prayer is the one force that puts God to work o in our affairs, our prayers can move God to act speedily. Many circumstances can look hopeless and parade as if there is no solution from God like in Psalm 3:2 “Many are saying of our soul, that there is no deliverance for us in God” but the Lord is our shield our glory and the lifter of our heads and He will rescue us from our powerful enemies, from those who hated us and are too strong for us” Psalm 3:3; 18:17.

The Spirit of the Lord is with us and He comes with freedom and healing in his wings. Mal 4:2; 2 Cor 3:17. We should live as children of God and not to use our freedom as a cover-up for evil (1 Peter 2:16). Let us “Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. Galatians: 5:1”

In Acts 2:42-47, The ceaseless prayer of the church that continued with one accord in prayer and supplication moved God to add “to the church daily such as should be saved” Acts 2:47. Our prayerlessness is the master-minder of  all the troubles we are experiencing and we can liberate ourselves and even our nations through our desperate prevailing prayers.

One of the reasons why our well organized services are not bringing soul to the kingdom and genuine salvation is fading out of the church system is because there are no more praying men and women. What the church needs is people whom the Holy Spirit can use – men of prayer, mighty men in prayer. The Holy Spirit does not flow through methods, but through men, He does not anoint plans, but men of prayer. When we pray, the doors in the hearts of men will opened of their own accord.
