Yemisi, a qualified accountant and tax practitioner; she has a double post graduate diploma in Theology, Bible Studies and Leadership from Redeemers International Leadership Academy Lagos Nigeria (a Bible College of RCCG run by the Apapa family). She also holds a degree in education from University of Strathclyde, Glasgow Scotland.
Yemisi has a desire to see that the youths walk in the way of the Lord; she is also a seasoned teacher of the word of God – especially to the singles. In 2009, God gave her the vision to birth a fellowship for ‘Singles’ irrespective of age, sex, race and religion. This is to ensure that the singles know their role in the Kingdom and society at large and to prepare them for their next level for those God is calling to such level.
The fellowship today runs along with the Youth department of the church but the desire is to take it to nations and let the ‘singles’ know that they are peculiar and special to God. The ministry is called ‘The Lively Stones Ministry’ – 1Pet.2:5.
Yemisi has been in the teaching ministry since 1990; she started as a ‘Follow-Up and Counselling’ Minister for 6 years; she became the head of ‘Teen Church’ a position she held until she relocated to the UK in 1999. While in the UK, she was one of the pioneer Ministers of the City Church Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God in London before she moved to Scotland in 2001. She continued as ‘Youth Pastor’ in Scotland until she was called out to be the pioneer pastor of the Potter’s House Parish in the southern part of the city of Edinburgh in 2007.
She was ordained a Deaconess in 1998, Assistant Pastor in 2009 and full Pastor in 2014; she is a mother of many youths around the world and a mentor to adults both married and unmarried. She is currently the senior pastor of the parish and the pastor in charge of Area 5 Scotland.
Her interests include travelling and sports especially athletics and tennis.
