“Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples.” – 1 Chronicles 16:24 All glory be to the Lord our God who has kept us since January to this hour, He has been our Ebenezer. The Bible encourages us in 1 Chronicles 16:24 to “Declare his glory among the heathen; his marvelous works among all nations.” God has been so gracious to us and so each day as we consider God’s grace we can be like the prophets of God. As people of God we wonder in amazement why God has chosen us to see enjoy His grace. Why has He opened the flood gates of heaven to rain His mercy and promise us a home in heaven that He has prepared for each of us? We could be like the rest of the world running around, frightened, worried, and troubled by what might happen or what might not happen. Instead God gives us comfort and encouragement with His grace. It is the glory of God that is alive in us: the glory of the Lord that He does not keep for himself, but shares with us to show to others in this world. We live in a world that likes to display the glory of mankind, the glory of their accomplishments. We have the opportunity to show the glory of the Lord, to proclaim His glory. As we walk day by day in this life realizing that we are saved for eternity, the Lord has called us among all nations to declare His majesty and share in His Holy Word. Any success you have, has been given to you by God, to bring glory to Him. Any success you have, is given to you by God, to advertise Him. God lets you excel, so you can make Him known, ‘to declare His glory.’ We are to glorify God in everything, Jesus said to us in Matthew 5:16 “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” And in all your struggles, declare His glory; Paul said in 2 Corinthians 4:15 “For it is all for your sake, so that as grace extends to more and more people it may increase thanksgiving, to the glory of God.” Let us declare His glory this season, remember it is not about exchanging gifts among ourselves but is all about how you can give God the most glory. Over 2000 years ago, He came to redeem us back to Himself. And so as you celebrate Christmas, don’t waste any opportunity that God gives you to give Him all the glory. Wishing everyone a glorious Christmas, it shall be the best you have ever had because the Lord will open the flood gates of heaven on you in Jesus name. Shalom. Yemisi Onanuga.
