Divine Mercy

Divine Mercy – Ps. 102:13 The Bible tells us in Lam. 3:22-23, that: “It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness” and Jesus Christ makes it so clear in Mathew’s Gospel, when HE said in Mt. 5:44-45: “Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust” that the mercies of God are not for the righteous alone. However, God speaks categorically in Exo. 33:19, that there is a mercy HE can choose to extend to a specific individual; a specific family; a specific group; a specific neighbourhood; a specific community; a specific city or even a specific nation, when and where HE pleases. So HE said to Moses: “……..I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.” In other words, there is mercy and there is also Divine Mercy. Mercy enables the world and all that exist in it to live through each day; but Divine Mercy is like a guided missile – it is extended to locate specific situations and deal with such situations with immediate effect. It is extended in God’s own time and for HIS divine purpose. In this month of ‘Divine Mercy’ God Almighty will bring your case forward for final settlement in the mighty name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
